Director of Total Rewards (Compensation & Benefits)

About the role

Nielsen is seeking a strategic HR leader to shape and execute its global total rewards strategy. As Director of Total Rewards, you will drive compensation, benefits, and recognition programs that support the company’s mission to power a better media future.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of managers and senior professionals (M2, P4, P3), overseeing performance, resource allocation, and departmental business plans.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive compensation, benefits, and recognition programs aligned with corporate objectives.
• Serve as the local internal subsidiary director for regions outside India and the United States, representing the entity on governance matters with full corporate support.
• Collaborate with senior division executives, external vendors, and regulators to influence cross‑functional initiatives and drive business results.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of progressive HR experience with a strong background in team management.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or HR/Total Rewards certifications highly preferred.
• Deep understanding of industry standards and the ability to solve complex, multi‑dimensional business problems.
• Proven leadership in managing multiple related teams, setting priorities, and developing impactful policies.
• Advanced/Fluent English proficiency for global collaboration.
