Director, People Business Partner

About the role

The Director, People Business Partner will support Mastercard's North Latin America & Caribbean markets and regional business units across Latin America and the Caribbean. This senior HR leader will partner with leaders to translate business priorities into people strategies that drive performance and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to execute people strategies supporting business objectives, organizational effectiveness, and team performance across North LAC and assigned regional portfolios.
• Provide coaching on leadership effectiveness, talent development, workforce planning, employee engagement, change management, and organizational design.
• Deliver People & Capability processes such as talent reviews, succession planning, performance management, leadership development, workforce planning, and compensation planning.
• Advise on employee relations matters to ensure fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes.
• Use workforce data, employee insights, and market intelligence to identify talent needs and improve engagement and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Centers of Expertise and People Services to implement enterprise programs and regional initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
• Solid experience as an HR Business Partner or comparable strategic HR role in a multinational organization.
• Proven ability to partner with senior business leaders and influence talent, workforce, and organizational decisions in a complex, matrixed environment.
• Strong understanding of talent management, succession planning, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, and change management.
• Fluency in English and Spanish, with strong analytical capabilities and experience leveraging workforce analytics.
• Willingness to travel across the region as business needs require.
