Environment Assistant

About the role
The Environment Assistant supports BorgWarner’s commitment to sustainable operations by implementing and maintaining the Environmental Management System (EMS) in accordance with ISO 14001:2015 and related standards. This role ensures compliance with legal and corporate environmental requirements while promoting continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor comprehensive waste management processes and ensure alignment with ISO 14001.
- Track and report environmental deviations such as waste generation, energy consumption, perimeter noise, and emissions.
- Identify environmental risks and develop mitigation actions.
- Maintain compliance with corporate and legal procedures related to the environment.
- Coordinate with external agencies to satisfy regulatory requirements.
- Support the Annual Training Plan for the MASS department.
Required profile
- Strong understanding of occupational health, ergonomics and general labor regulations.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement corrective measures.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Detail‑oriented approach to monitoring and documentation.
Required skills
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 environmental management standards.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 occupational health and safety standards.
- Understanding of IATF 16949 automotive quality requirements.
- Experience in waste management monitoring and reporting.
- Ability to track energy consumption, noise levels and emissions.
