Export Analyst - Virtual Operations

About the role

Arrow Electronics is looking for an Export Analyst to join its Supply Chain Services team in Zapopan, Mexico (Guad Warehouse). The role covers inbound, outbound and foreign-to-foreign freight movements, from pickup to delivery, and involves monitoring the group e-mail inbox, answering questions from internal customers and external clients, and reporting transportation and recovery information to management.

Key responsibilities

• Quote freight charges using preferred freight vendors and review freight variables such as class, weight and dimensional weight
• Provide inbound and outbound in-transit tracking for internal and external customers
• Coordinate the movement of all inbound, outbound and foreign-to-foreign freight
• Solve complex logistics transactions and enter shipment data into the ERP system
• File claims for damaged or lost material against the responsible freight vendor
• Approve orders submitted for export compliance
• Assist carriers, other Arrow departments and distribution centers with loading, unloading, appointments and daily pick execution
• Communicate with carriers on scheduling, shipping documents, tracking numbers and proof of delivery
• Handle minor shipping requests such as redirecting freight and changing freight terms
• Research and resolve issues such as missed pickups, onsite problems and damaged inventory
• Respond to inquiries from processing centers, sales and client experience with urgency, professionalism and good customer care

Required profile

• 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar role
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• English required
• Self-motivated, client focused and able to work well in a team

Required skills

• Knowledge of the transportation industry, with an emphasis on import and customs processes
• Understanding of US export regulations and classified products (HTS and ECCN)
• Comprehension of shipping modes (TL, LTL and small parcel); arancel experience is a plus
