Senior Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

Arrow Electronics, a global supplier of electronic components and enterprise computing solutions, is hiring a Senior Warehouse Supervisor for its Zapopan warehouse (Guad2 Whse). The role covers the day-to-day operations of a logistics or value-add department, supervising a team of non-exempt tactical staff in receiving, storing, picking, shipping and special handling. The position works shift 2 (2:00 - 9:15, Monday to Saturday) and requires conversational English.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of a single department within the distribution/value-add center
• Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of the team, set priorities and solve problems according to established policies and procedures
• Receive guidance and oversight from the manager and typically spend no more than 20% of time doing the work supervised
• Participate, with management and HR, in staffing, terminations, disciplinary counseling, performance management and development
• Report and track department metrics and respond to internal customer inquiries
• Elevate complex issues and work with facility management where needed
• Train team members and provide input to performance evaluations

Required profile

• Fluent English, both verbally and in writing
• Previous experience as a people manager and managing teams
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• WMS system knowledge is desirable
