Family Law Paralegal – Remote

About the role

StaffScout is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to support U.S. law firms remotely. You will work closely with attorneys on sensitive family law matters, ensuring accurate documentation and timely case progression.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and format family law documents such as petitions, motions, declarations, and discovery.
• Assist with divorce, custody, support, and related family law matters.
• Manage case files, calendars, deadlines, and task lists.
• Organize and prepare financial disclosures, exhibits, and supporting documentation.
• Conduct legal and factual research as needed.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Support attorneys with trial preparation, mediations, and hearings.
• Maintain case momentum through proactive follow‑ups and organization.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a paralegal or legal assistant with family law exposure.
• Strong understanding of U.S. family law terminology, documents, and workflows.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and time‑management abilities.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
• Paralegal certification is a plus, but not required.
