Field Operator IV – Oilfield Services

About the role

The Field Operator IV is a senior‑level field professional who executes oilfield service operations safely, efficiently, and in line with Baker Hughes quality and HSE standards. The role supports complex on‑shore and off‑shore projects, acting as a technical resource for the crew.

Key responsibilities

• Execute field operations following approved procedures, technical manuals and customer requirements.
• Perform rig‑up, operation, monitoring, troubleshooting and rig‑down of Baker Hughes equipment and service tools.
• Support drilling, completion, intervention and production activities.
• Conduct pre‑job inspections, function testing and maintenance checks to verify equipment readiness.
• Monitor operational parameters, identify issues early and assist in field‑level technical decisions to reduce non‑productive time.
• Complete job reports, maintenance records and customer documentation accurately.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Manage equipment mobilisation/demobilisation, inventory and spare‑parts tracking.
• Represent Baker Hughes at customer sites, maintain positive relationships and participate in pre‑ and post‑job meetings.
• Coach junior operators, promote best practices and act as a safety role model.

Required profile

• Advanced technical expertise in oilfield equipment and service tools.
• Ability to work independently and make field‑level decisions.
• Experience in both on‑shore and off‑shore field environments.
• Strong commitment to safety, integrity, quality and continuous improvement.
