Finance Analyst – Tax (Mexico City)

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a senior Finance Analyst to lead tax compliance for its Mexico operations. You will work in a hybrid setting, collaborating with Finance, Legal and Commercial teams to ensure accurate tax reporting and support the company’s transition to a subscription‑based model.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all direct and indirect tax compliance activities in Mexico.
• Prepare and coordinate monthly and annual tax filings, including Corporate Income Tax (CIT), VAT and other statutory obligations.
• Manage relationships with external advisors, auditors and the Mexican tax authority (SAT).
• Support tax audits, inquiries and ongoing tax assessments.
• Review tax provisions and contribute to statutory and group reporting.
• Partner with Finance, Legal and Commercial teams on tax matters related to contracts, invoicing and business operations.
• Monitor changes in Mexican tax legislation and assess their impact.
• Ensure compliance with AVEVA tax policies and internal controls.

Required profile

• 8+ years of tax experience, preferably within multinational organisations.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican Corporate Income Tax, VAT, payroll taxes and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience managing tax audits and working with external advisors.
• Familiarity with employer compliance obligations and statutory filings before Mexican authorities.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to collaborate with regional and global stakeholders.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with the SAT platform.
• Experience using IMSS (Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social) systems.
• Familiarity with Infonavit (Instituto del Fondo Nacional de la Vivienda para los Trabajadores) platform.
• Knowledge of REPSE (Registro de Prestadores de Servicios Especializados) requirements.
• Use of the Ministry of Economy (Secretaría de Economía) portal for statutory filings.
