Finance Director (Strategic Finance Lead)

About the role

Devsu is seeking a Finance Director to act as a strategic partner to the leadership team. This senior finance role goes beyond traditional accounting, providing visibility, planning, and decision support across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process for multiple entities and prepare balance sheet, P&L and cash‑flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with Ecuadorian accounting, tax and labor regulations and maintain US GAAP reporting standards.
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors and tax advisors in both Ecuador and the United States.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning; build and maintain financial models to support growth decisions.
• Provide profitability, cost‑structure and cash‑flow insights; support pricing, expansion and efficiency initiatives.
• Design and implement cost‑control frameworks, improve reporting clarity and internal controls through automation and AI.
• Support cross‑border structure optimisation and tax efficiency in collaboration with advisors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, preferably in multi‑entity or international environments.
• Strong knowledge of Ecuadorian accounting and tax regulations and working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Proven FP&A experience with solid business acumen.
• Advanced Excel and financial‑modeling capabilities.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
