Financial Analyst

About the role

The Financial Analyst will support Volex de México’s Tijuana site by providing financial planning, forecasting, cost and margin analysis, inventory management, and capital investment evaluation. The role works closely with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Commercial and Sales teams to improve financial visibility and drive profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the annual budget, monthly forecasts and long‑range financial planning for the Tijuana site.
• Analyze actual results versus budget and forecast, identifying variances, risks and corrective actions.
• Maintain financial models covering revenue, margins, operating expenses, headcount, depreciation, inventory, working capital, cash flow and capital expenditures.
• Prepare working capital and cash‑flow forecasts for U.S. and Mexico entities and explain performance variances.
• Analyze profitability by customer, program, product and part number, including price, volume, mix and cost drivers.
• Partner with Commercial and Sales on quotations, pricing decisions, price‑break analysis and margin validation.
• Support product‑costing and standard‑cost reviews, including bills of material, routings and labor/overhead rates.
• Monitor inventory performance, turns, aging, excess, obsolete stock and physical‑inventory adjustments.
• Coordinate capital‑expenditure budgets, evaluate investment requests and monitor project spending and returns.
• Support fixed‑asset controls, tagging, verification, transfers, disposals and capitalization.
• Develop and maintain KPIs related to revenue, margins, productivity, labor, scrap, inventory, working capital, cash flow and capex.
• Coordinate U.S. sales‑tax compliance and support related tax filings.
• Assist with monthly P&L, forecast and operational reviews, providing clear analysis and recommendations.
• Support ERP implementation, internal controls, financial reporting, audits and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Three to five years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, cost accounting or manufacturing finance.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
