Financial Controller

About the role

Orbia Advance Corporation is looking for a Financial Controller in Mexico City. The role coordinates and executes the accounting, financial and reporting activities of the holding companies, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements and internal controls. It also contributes to accurate, timely financial information for decision-making through closing, audits, regulatory compliance, financial analysis and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute accounting and financial closing for the holding companies
• Prepare and analyse financial information under IFRS for internal and external reporting
• Monitor and comply with SOX controls
• Support preparation of financial statements and statutory reports
• Coordinate information for external audits and Tax Audit Reports (Dictamen Fiscal)
• Perform variance analysis and monitor key accounting accounts
• Manage intercompany transactions and account reconciliations
• Collaborate with local and global teams on tax and regulatory compliance
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Take part in automation, digitalization and continuous improvement initiatives
• Develop financial analyses and dashboards using SAP, Power BI and SAP Analytics Cloud

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in financial accounting, financial reporting or auditing
• Experience with IFRS and preparing or reviewing financial statements
• Knowledge of internal control and compliance processes
• Advanced English proficiency
