Forward Deployed Engineer (MTS)

About the role

Salesforce is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer (MTS) in Mexico City to work on Systems Integration Agent, an AI agent that learns how to operate enterprise applications such as SAP, Oracle and Workday and turns that knowledge into reusable, code-backed actions. The team is a small startup within Salesforce AI Labs, working directly with the team leader and engineers, alongside customers, with the autonomy to shape an early product. As a Value Acceleration Engineer you will write code, build alongside customers and get real workflows into production.

Key responsibilities

• Work with process owners and customer IT to select workflows, define success and secure test access and data.
• Run hands-on sessions that help customers use the product themselves, with clear scope and readiness expectations.
• Explain the product's capabilities and limitations and connect technical results to business outcomes.
• Write custom JavaScript tools when existing capabilities cannot complete a task.
• Debug failures across browser behavior, agent execution, application state and backend services.
• Build tests for business outcomes, exceptions, partial completion and recovery.
• Help launch and stabilize workflows, document monitoring and recovery procedures and establish support ownership.
• Turn deployment lessons into reusable tools and tests, and work with core engineering on recurring product gaps.
• Use AI development tools while staying accountable for code quality, security and maintainability.

Required profile

• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to write and debug JavaScript or TypeScript and reason about web applications, APIs and data flow.
• Enjoys working directly with users, asking precise questions and explaining technical problems clearly.
• Experience building working software and explaining implementation choices, tests and debugging.
