Gerente de Planta – Senior Supervisor

About the role

Cargill is seeking a Plant Senior Supervisor to provide strategic operational oversight for one or multiple plants of moderate complexity in Mexico. The role is responsible for safety, quality, operational effectiveness, and financial performance, ensuring that production meets the company’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement employee, food and feed safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory programs.
• Establish and execute operational priorities across assigned plants.
• Lead strategic and tactical operations and quality‑management initiatives to meet customer and product specifications.
• Control capital and operating budgets, monitoring expenses against targets.
• Drive operational efficiency improvements, including standardization of manufacturing systems, quality control, safety, reliability, and maintenance best practices.
• Develop and coach the plant team, handling talent management, hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of four years of relevant work experience.
• Additional minimum qualifications may apply.
• Preferred: Lean Six Sigma certification and at least two years of supervisory experience.
