About the role

BASF is seeking a Project and Maintenance Manager for its site in Puebla, Mexico. The role is responsible for overseeing the engineering and maintenance budget, ensuring efficient and reliable operation of equipment and infrastructure through capital projects and maintenance of existing assets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, manage and control CAPEX investment activities for the Puebla site in line with corporate investment policies.
• Oversee replacement, acquisition and installation of new fixed assets to support site operations.
• Ensure low installation, operation and maintenance costs while guaranteeing return on investment and asset reliability.
• Coordinate maintenance activities for existing assets to maintain continuity and optimize site performance.
• Apply corporate standards and optimize investment, operational and maintenance costs to meet the company's financial objectives.
• Monitor and report on budget performance and project progress.

Required profile

• Proven experience in engineering or maintenance management within an industrial environment.
• Strong ability to manage budgets and financial aspects of capital projects.
• Knowledge of corporate investment policies and cost‑optimization principles.
• Ability to ensure asset reliability and operational continuity.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills with cross‑functional teams.
