About the role

The Quality Manager will lead the plant’s quality function for an automotive OEM in Querétaro, ensuring compliance with corporate, customer and industry standards while acting as the voice of the customer.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain IATF 16949 and other relevant quality standards.
• Develop and align policies, procedures and work instructions with corporate and customer requirements.
• Manage document control and ensure regional quality system compliance.
• Serve as primary liaison for OEM customer concerns, audits and portal communications.
• Coordinate customer‑specific audits, assessments and support launch teams with PPAP, Control Plans, PFMEA, etc.
• Drive problem‑solving using 5Why, 8D, Root Cause Analysis and A4 methodologies.
• Promote continuous improvement using statistical tools and best practices.
• Lead, evaluate and mentor the quality department, setting strategic objectives aligned with corporate goals.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental Management, Safety and Occupational Health standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Quality or a related field.
• 5–8 years of quality management experience in the automotive industry.
• Fluent English and proficient in Microsoft Office.

Required skills

• IATF 16949 knowledge.
• AIAG standards (PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, R&R).
• PCSR and VDA 6.3 certifications.
• Experience with customer portals and OEM audit processes.
• Advanced problem‑solving and statistical analysis tools.
