Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the cleanliness, order and presentation of all public areas in the hotel, ensuring they meet the luxury standards of One&Only Palmilla and international rating systems such as Forbes Travel Guide and LQA. The role leads the housekeeping team in daily operations, coordinates tasks, and guarantees an impeccable environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in all public areas according to hotel policies.
• Supervise staff assignments, schedule rotations and specific cleaning tasks.
• Review daily logbooks, monitor occupancy, VIP arrivals and group check‑ins to prioritize cleaning.
• Conduct regular inspections of restrooms, lobbies, hallways, offices and food‑and‑beverage outlets.
• Plan and oversee deep‑cleaning projects such as carpet washing, marble polishing, glass cleaning and furniture maintenance.
• Ensure safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment following disinfection protocols.
• Motivate, train and supervise staff while enforcing safety, hygiene and social‑distancing measures.
• Manage weekly cleaning supplies and communicate instructions from the Executive Housekeeper.
