HR Business Manager – Site HR Lead

About the role

Celestica is looking for a strategic HR Business Manager to act as the Site HR Lead for its Monterrey operations, supporting a workforce of 400‑1,000 employees. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the role combines labor‑relations expertise with business‑partnering to shape culture, drive change and ensure compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the company’s bargaining agent for local labor negotiations, develop bargaining strategies and maintain positive union‑management relations.
• Provide direct and indirect leadership to a diverse HR team, set 3‑to‑5‑year objectives and manage departmental budgets.
• Advise senior leadership on workforce planning, restructuring, talent assessments and organizational change.
• Lead site‑wide rollout of corporate HR programs including compensation, benefits, performance development, employee engagement surveys and talent management.
• Conduct confidential internal investigations, working with legal counsel to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on labor relations and union negotiations in Mexico.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Deep knowledge of Mexican labor laws and experience in World Class Manufacturing or Six Sigma environments.
• Proven ability to coach leaders, negotiate tactfully and build cross‑functional relationships.

Required skills

• Experience with modern HRIS platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Visio.
