Training Specialist

About the role

ABB is looking for a Training Specialist for its Smart Power business in Apodaca, Nuevo León. The role reports to the Training Coordinator and leads the design and execution of learning and development strategies for salaried employees, turning business needs into development solutions and fostering a culture of continuous learning. It is an onsite position.

Key responsibilities

• Lead training needs assessments and competency development, identify skill gaps and turn business priorities into the Annual Training Plan, development strategies and learning programs.
• Design, implement and monitor learning and development initiatives, measure their effectiveness with KPIs and keep improving the employee learning experience.
• Partner with leaders and stakeholders to support employee development and strengthen internal capabilities through programs and partnerships with internal and external providers.
• Coordinate the development and maintenance of job profiles and job manuals, define required knowledge and competencies, support onboarding and keep training documentation and evidence in line with organizational and management system requirements.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, Talent Development, Human Resources or a related field, preferably in a multinational, manufacturing or complex organization.
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Fluent English.
• Experience supporting internal and external audits and keeping training documentation compliant with standards such as ISO 9001, 14001, 45001.
