HR Services Representative I

About the role

Petco is seeking an HR Services Representative I to join its Human Resources Service Center. In this role you will be the first point of contact for partners, handling payroll, benefits, talent management and related inquiries with professionalism and empathy.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve partner issues related to payroll, benefits, leaves, talent acquisition, learning, and other HR topics, aiming for first‑contact resolution.
• Provide accurate information quickly and courteously, following HR Service Center SOPs and company policies.
• Triage, escalate, and coordinate higher‑level or complex cases with subject‑matter experts or management.
• Build and maintain effective relationships across all departments.
• Generate, review, and distribute HR, quality‑assurance and data‑integrity reports and audits for HCM and time‑and‑attendance systems.
• Meet or exceed established KPI metrics as defined by management.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and handle a high volume of inquiries.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, empathetic tone.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on data accuracy and compliance.
• Willingness to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and support continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Human Capital Management (HCM) systems and time‑and‑attendance platforms.
