Human Resource Manager

About the role

Nidec Drives in Mexico is looking for a Human Resource Manager to manage all HR operations for the company in Mexico. The role covers full-cycle talent acquisition, benefits administration, employee relations, performance management and workforce planning, while ensuring compliance with all country regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, train and develop the HR team in Mexico
• Manage the full recruiting cycle for hourly and salaried staff and work with leadership on a workforce plan
• Administer benefit programs with the Global HR Team and manage the Mexico HRIS system
• Work with payroll on time reporting, deductions and payments
• Resolve performance issues and employee conflicts with managers
• Act as the HR regulation expert and ensure compliance with country and local laws
• Take part in union negotiations and relations, and keep policies and procedures up to date
• Organize compliance training, manage the compensation structure and job descriptions, and support employee recognition and engagement
• Partner with the Health and Safety leader on safety initiatives and reporting

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in HR Management or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in an HR role managing HR team members
• Experience managing union relationships and a good understanding of country and local regulations
• Spanish and English
• Experience with an HRIS system; Workday knowledge preferred
