Global Associate - Employee Benefits

About the role

Sequoia helps investor-backed companies of all sizes achieve their business goals through smarter people spend. As a Global Associate, you will support clients in managing their benefit programs across many countries, covering global and local plan implementation and servicing, project management, strategy development and a positive client experience. The role is based in Mexico City.

Key responsibilities

• Manage global client relationships, including implementation, day-to-day service, relationship building and renewal management.
• Support project management: manage project trackers and draft reports, analytics and presentations for global benefits clients.
• Support the Global Director, Advisors and Regional Country Consultants in advising multinational client headquarters on global employee benefits.
• Work with local brokers to coordinate and manage benefits programs, and support global traveler, medical and expatriate programs.
• Manage and update client benefits data in the Sequoia People Platform.
• Coordinate multi-country projects such as benefits benchmarking, cost-savings initiatives and governance processes.
• Help clients stay ahead of compliance requirements and local legislative changes.
• Collaborate with local HR teams, HR headquarters, CEOs and CFOs, and deliver on the brand promise of client service.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree required.
• High proficiency in English, written and spoken.
• Experience with employee benefits programs or benefits insurance is preferred.
• Availability to travel to the United States as needed.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for manipulating and analyzing data.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Teams) and Google Docs and/or Smartsheet.
• Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work remotely with colleagues in other countries.
