Human Resources Generalist

About the role

The People Team at Garena is looking for an HR Generalist based in Mexico to support day‑to‑day HR operations and contribute to broader people initiatives. This position offers a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment with the chance to grow into more strategic HR responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, employee documentation, and benefits administration.
• Coordinate with HR, employees, and external vendors to ensure smooth, compliant processes.
• Assist talent acquisition and talent management initiatives such as interview coordination and candidate experience.
• Plan and execute employee engagement activities, internal events, and culture‑building initiatives.
• Support rollout and implementation of HR projects, including process improvements and policy updates.
• Maintain accurate, confidential HR data and documentation.
• Partner with HRBP and People Lead to identify operational gaps and propose efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with regional and global teams to align processes while adapting to local Mexican needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
• 2–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist or operations‑heavy role within a lean or fast‑paced environment.
• Strong execution skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Hands‑on, proactive, and resourceful with ownership mindset.
• Structured thinking with capability to identify issues and suggest practical solutions.
• Exposure to multiple HR functions (HR Ops, TA coordination, employee engagement) is preferred.
• Experience in tech, gaming, start‑ups, or multicultural environments is a plus; passion for games is a plus.
