Infrastructure and Expenses Controller – Senior Finance

About the role

The Infrastructure and Expenses Controller leads the finance function for Citi's Banamex Enterprise, overseeing forward‑looking financial processes, balance‑sheet management, and risk‑capital estimation. Reporting to senior leadership, this senior manager drives analytical insight, ensures accurate month‑end close, and partners with technology and revenue teams to improve financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage forecasts, strategic plans, monthly outlooks and compare results against targets.
• Lead month‑end close activities, consolidate flash estimates, monitor general‑ledger bookings and produce variance analysis for senior management.
• Oversee balance‑sheet management, including reviews of internally developed software assets and act as SME for those assets.
• Participate in quarterly balance‑sheet trend reviews and strategic forecasts with technology managers and chiefs of staff.
• Generate analytics for flash results, board reports, executive management reports and competitor reviews.
• Lead risk‑capital estimation and embed capital‑usage metrics into management reporting.
• Prepare and present financial metrics to senior stakeholders to guide business decisions.
• Implement financial initiatives, ensure appropriate staffing and organizational structure, and drive compliance with policies and regulations.

Required profile

• 15+ years of relevant finance experience, with 8‑10+ years in managerial roles.
• Background in financial services and strong financial modeling capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to build relationships and interact at all organizational levels.
