Internal Auditor

About the role

The Internal Audit Associate supports the execution of independent audits to evaluate risk management, internal controls, and governance across Motherson’s Americas operations. The role involves testing controls, documenting audit work, identifying risks, and developing recommendations to improve compliance and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits across various departments and business units.
• Prepare comprehensive audit work papers that document findings and control weaknesses.
• Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, fraud risks, or non‑compliance with laws and regulations.
• Engage with stakeholders at all management levels to present findings and recommend corrective actions, both verbally and in writing.
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure effective resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in internal audit.
• Flexibility to travel 30%–60% across the Americas.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Familiarity with common fraud indicators and risk‑management practices.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Results‑oriented with the ability to adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
