IT Data Engineer II – Data Pipeline & Warehouse Specialist

About the role

The IT Data Engineer II will design, build, and optimise data pipelines and warehousing solutions that support analytics across the organisation. You will work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, scalable data models and visualisations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise SQL‑based data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Develop and maintain data‑warehousing solutions using star‑schema, Kimball or Snowflake methodologies.
• Write and tune SQL queries and calculations within data‑visualisation tools.
• Enforce data‑governance policies and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Build, deploy and support dashboards that communicate insights effectively.
• Participate in cloud cost‑optimisation and support data‑streaming initiatives.
• Assist with basic orchestration of data pipelines and integration of big‑data technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1+ years of experience with SQL, ETL tools and data‑warehousing concepts.
• Basic exposure to big‑data platforms such as Hadoop or Apache Spark.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Proactive, collaborative and able to manage multiple priorities.
