IT Process Engineer I

About the role

Jabil is hiring an IT Process Engineer I in Guadalajara. The role has two main responsibilities: helping formalize IT processes such as change, configuration, incident and problem management, leading to service level management, service and software delivery life cycle (SDLC) and the Test Lift Cycle, and keeping the day-to-day operations running as designed using ITIL as the framework.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan and authorize changes to the IT production environment and minimize service disruption caused by improper change implementation.
• Drive root cause analysis of incidents and prevent them from recurring.
• Maintain accurate data on the production environment and its configuration items, and develop process tools and templates.
• Keep process documentation complete and accurate, and oversee daily administration of the process and its tools at Global, Regional and Site levels.
• Monitor process performance against KPIs, prepare and analyze reports, and ensure compliance with audit requirements such as Sarbanes-Oxley.
• Drive continuous improvement, streamline processes and share best practices with other Jabil facilities.
• Provide technical consulting and mentoring, and keep customer satisfaction high.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 0-2 years of overall IT experience.
• Customer service and effective verbal and written communication skills, and ability to follow written and verbal directions.
• Ability to work mostly in the office with some time on the manufacturing floor, and to use computers for long periods.
