IT Technician

About the role

As an IT Technician you will join an energetic team at Corning’s Reynosa plant, providing onsite technical support to keep desktop, hardware, software and network operations reliable. The role is ideal for a hands‑on problem‑solver who enjoys troubleshooting, supporting end users and contributing to system improvements in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for desktop computers, laptops, printers and related devices for plant users.
• Install, configure, repair and perform preventive maintenance on hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues and support enterprise applications.
• Assist with system upgrades and support digital tools such as Power BI, SharePoint and Excel macros.
• Contribute to the creation of basic Power BI dashboards and support MES/ERP systems as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering or a related field.
• Entry‑level experience in computer systems engineering or IT support.
• Intermediate knowledge of computer hardware installation, configuration and preventive maintenance.
• Experience with application installation, configuration and basic network setup.
• Experience creating basic Power BI dashboards.
