Junior Chassis Design & Release Engineer

About the role

ALTEN Mexico, an engineering company working with industries such as automotive, energy, aeronautics, banking, telecom and rail, is looking for a Junior Chassis Design & Release Engineer. The engineer is responsible for the design, development, validation, timing and production release of chassis components and systems, working with cross-functional teams on interior systems and improving the design and release processes. The scope covers suspension tuning and steering components and powertrain mounts.

Required profile

• 0 to 1 year of experience reviewing, validating and releasing designs for automotive chassis components.
• Intermediate to advanced English (B2-C1).
• Valid visa is optional.
• Full-time position.

Required skills

• CATIA V5/3DX or NX for 3D/2D model review.
• PLM (Teamcenter) for documentation and release management.
• Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
• Management of PBOM, eBOM, DVP&R and technical sheets.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Preferred: experience with Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs, knowledge of style freeze and theme evaluation, in-plant experience (tool tryouts, assembly, program launch), familiarity with IATF 16949, and strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
