Junior Interior Design & Release Engineer (Automotive)

About the role

ALTEN Mexico is seeking a Junior Interior Design & Release Engineer to develop vehicle interior components (soft‑trim) for automotive programs. The role combines concept synthesis, detailed design, and release activities, working closely with suppliers and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Synthesize program requirements (financial, weight, complexity) and align them with interior styling.
• Define part breakdowns, assembly sequences and develop source packages (PBOM, eBOM, technical sheets, DVP&R).
• Support technical reviews, supplier evaluations and master section development.
• Manage 3D releases, design practice analysis and resolve critical issues.
• Maintain issue logs, conduct feasibility studies and create technical documentation for new components.

Required profile

• 1+ years of experience in automotive interior (soft‑trim) design or product engineering.
• Proficiency with CATIA and/or 3DX (3DExperience) CAD tools.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerances, variation analysis and parametric design.
• Experience with manufacturing processes, DFMEA, DVP&R and PLM/BOM management.
• English level B2‑C1.
