Junior JavaScript Developer

About the role

EPAM is seeking a Junior JavaScript Developer to join its collaborative engineering community. You will work on modern web solutions that support meaningful business initiatives while learning from experienced colleagues in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modern web applications aligned with business needs.
• Collaborate with team members to implement new features and enhance existing functionality.
• Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and uphold strong coding standards.
• Take part in Agile ceremonies such as stand‑ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives.
• Continuously expand technical knowledge and apply new skills to real‑world project tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• At least one year of commercial software development experience.
• Strong analytical and research skills with a proactive approach.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, high stress resistance, and adaptability.
• Good English communication skills (A2 or higher) and professional phone etiquette.

Required skills

• React for building interactive user interfaces.
• Next.js for server‑side rendered and static web applications.
• Redux for state management.
• TypeScript for type‑safe code.
• CSS and HTML for structuring and styling pages.
• Advanced JavaScript for dynamic client‑side functionality.
• Experience with REST and SOAP APIs.
• Working knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle.
