Key Account Executive – Monterrey

About the role

The Key Account Executive (KAE) will manage a portfolio of around 50 key customers in Monterrey, driving a customer‑centric approach and delivering tailored solutions that meet client needs while supporting the overall business strategy of Royal Canin.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term strategies for key customers in direct distribution.
• Ensure sales operations are effective and exceed objectives for key accounts.
• Plan, budget, and measure investments and activities aligned with Royal Canin’s strategy.
• Maintain full P&L accountability for key customers, including trade budget and ROI analysis.
• Act as a knowledge‑transfer hub for sales and trade‑marketing teams, providing training and best‑in‑class activations.
• Strengthen relationships with customers and key opinion leaders, securing yearly agreements and continuous growth.
• Collaborate with the DDM manager to implement best practices and regional strategies.
• Develop incentive programs to achieve revenue, profitability, and market‑share targets.

Required profile

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine (MVZ) or Administration/Marketing with proven experience in the pet market.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a consultative sales associate dealing with key customers.
• Strong commercial acumen, strategic communication, and relationship‑building abilities.
