Learning & Development Manager

About the role

Discovery Land Company is looking for a Learning & Development Manager to lead training and development initiatives at the El Dorado Golf and Beach Club in Los Cabos. The role focuses on designing, delivering, and evaluating programs that raise operational standards, build employee capabilities, and reinforce the company’s culture while ensuring compliance with Mexican labor regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with division managers to align training initiatives with business outcomes and corporate goals.
• Design, implement and oversee the annual training plan, ensuring compliance with Mexican labor law and STPS requirements.
• Identify skill gaps through job analysis, career path mapping and organizational climate assessments.
• Develop and deliver programs that strengthen employee skills, leadership competencies and organizational culture.
• Coordinate training on company policies, operational standards, food‑handling, health, safety and security protocols.
• Monitor training effectiveness, calculate ROI and report results to the HR Director and leadership.
• Lead onboarding, team‑building, internship coordination and employee recognition initiatives.
• Maintain bilingual (English/Spanish) training materials and ensure timely posting on internal communication channels.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering learning and development programs.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican labor law and STPS training requirements, including NOM‑035 compliance.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Excellent collaboration skills with managers and leaders across the organization.
