Legal Counsel – Business Affairs (MSC)

About the role

Join Mondelēz International as a Counsel focused on legal business matters. You will lead the company’s legal activities across regions, business units and sub‑functions, supporting commercial and corporate initiatives while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement legal strategies that enable aggressive competition while protecting people, assets and reputation.
• Advise business units on risk, anticipate internal and external factors, and provide guidance on legal decisions.
• Manage relationships with outside counsel, overseeing spend and ensuring alignment with financial and reputational risk policies.
• Partner with regional and global stakeholders to monitor and interpret applicable laws and regulatory changes across one or multiple countries.
• Support dispute resolution, risk assessment and coaching of managers on legal matters.

Required profile

• Legal experience, preferably within a large matrixed multinational organization.
• Strong analytical, strategic, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven track record in risk assessment, advising, coaching and dispute resolution in a multinational setting.
• Highest level of integrity, credibility and ability to express legal opinions clearly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• License to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
