Legal Counsel

About the role

As a Legal Counsel at H&M Group, you will play a pivotal role in shaping regulatory, commercial and legal decisions that protect and add value to the business. Based in our Mexico City Support Office, you will work in a hybrid setting, collaborating with senior stakeholders across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Set and enforce legal standards, templates and strategies across the market.
• Negotiate, draft and review a variety of agreements, including lease contracts.
• Conduct judicial enquiries, due diligence and risk analysis.
• Support tendering processes and continuously improve contract safeguards.
• Handle and settle disputes, ensuring compliance with global legal requirements.
• Assist Sales Market Controllers and Account Managers with corporate documentation and governance policies.

Required profile

• Law degree with 3‑5 years of legal experience.
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Ability to present confidently to senior internal and external stakeholders.
• Comfortable making decisions under ambiguity and tight timelines.
• Leadership potential to coach and inspire team members.
