Legal Counsel Manager

About the role

As the Legal Counsel Manager for CEVA Mexico, you will guide the company’s legal strategy within a fast‑evolving logistics environment. Based in Mexico City, you will support business objectives while ensuring compliance with Mexican law and corporate policies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely, pragmatic legal advice to internal stakeholders, aligning guidance with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Review, negotiate and approve contracts with clients, suppliers and partners, balancing legal safeguards with commercial priorities.
• Maintain corporate governance standards, including powers of attorney, meeting minutes and entity administration.
• Identify and manage legal risks, overseeing labour and commercial litigation in collaboration with external counsel.
• Offer preventative legal counsel to support strategic initiatives and reduce future exposure.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed legal frameworks into operational workflows.
• Monitor statutory and regulatory changes affecting CEVA Mexico and anticipate emerging challenges.
• Design and lead training sessions to raise employee awareness of legal and compliance responsibilities.

Required profile

• Law degree from a recognised university.
• At least eight years of professional experience as a legal counsel, preferably in logistics or related sectors.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation, corporate governance and litigation management.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican labour and commercial law.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
