Legal Rankings & Awards Submission Consultant (Part‑Time)

About the role

A New York‑based partner in an Emerging Companies and Venture Capital practice seeks an experienced consultant to manage legal directory and award submissions for the 2026‑2027 cycle. The role is independent, part‑time and flexible, focusing on building a stronger, consistent presence in leading legal rankings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, edit and file submissions for target directories (Chambers, Legal 500, Best Lawyers, IFLR1000, Super Lawyers) using official portals and templates.
• Write persuasive narratives that showcase the partner’s practice, key matters and market standing in each directory’s preferred style.
• Collect, organize and maintain a database of deal and matter information, marking confidentiality status for reuse across cycles.
• Identify, confirm and coordinate client referees, handling outreach, reminders and follow‑up communications.
• Build and maintain a master calendar of all submission, referee and interview deadlines, sending timely reminders to the partner.
• Research additional awards, rankings, speaking, panel and conference opportunities relevant to emerging companies and venture capital.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience preparing and filing Chambers and/or Legal 500 submissions.
• Background in law‑firm marketing or business development with polished English writing skills.
• High comfort with confidentiality and sound judgment when handling sensitive client, deal and referee information.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines and deliver on time with minimal supervision.
