Local Case Intake Advisor – GBS Patient Safety (12‑month contract)

About the role

AstraZeneca is seeking a Local Case Intake Advisor to support its GBS Patient Safety function in Guadalajara. The role focuses on accurate and compliant handling of adverse event reports, acting as a bridge between local marketing teams and the global safety organization.

Key responsibilities

• Intake, review, process and report Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) from clinical and post‑marketing sources.
• Ensure compliance with Good Pharmacovigilance Practice (GVP), AstraZeneca procedures and local health‑authority requirements.
• Support regulatory authority queries, perform reconciliations, and conduct literature/database screening as needed.
• Participate in quality and compliance activities, audit and inspection readiness, and maintain documentation and archiving.
• Collaborate with internal teams, service providers and external stakeholders to ensure seamless case management.

Required profile

• Degree in Pharmacy, Medicine or a related scientific field.
• Knowledge of pharmacovigilance processes and health‑authority regulations.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative, cross‑functional working style with fluency in English.
• Experience with vendor management, audit/inspection support or project work is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Argus pharmacovigilance software.
