Local Partnership Development Specialist – Tourism Network

About the role

The company is a fast‑growing travel and tourism provider that builds a high‑quality network of local tour guides and destination experiences. As a Local Partnership Development Specialist, you will work in Mexico to identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified tour guides while strengthening long‑term relationships with tourism communities, guide associations, universities, and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Source potential tour guides through directories, social media, guide marketplaces, universities and referrals.
• Establish and nurture relationships with tourism departments, faculty, student groups, guide associations and local tourism offices to create sustainable pipelines.
• Research prospective partners, verify backgrounds, certifications, language skills, customer reviews and professional reputation.
• Conduct structured screening interviews to assess destination knowledge, storytelling ability, customer service and operational readiness.
• Rank candidates against defined criteria, maintain an organized pipeline and prepare shortlists for management review.
• Support partnership negotiations and coordinate onboarding activities.

Required profile

• Experience in business development, recruitment, partnership management or tourism operations.
• Strong communication and interview skills.
• Ability to evaluate candidates objectively and maintain detailed records.
• Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency preferred.
