Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Bosch is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join its team in Juárez, Mexico. The role plays a central part in optimizing manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement and ensuring operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness while meeting safety and compliance standards.
• Analyze processes with advanced methodologies and apply problem-solving techniques such as 8D, Fishbone, 5Why and 6Sigma/Shainin to find root causes.
• Work with quality, production and supply chain teams to ensure smooth process execution.
• Maintain process documentation, work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor production metrics and KPIs to support decision-making and goals.
• Lead or take part in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with equipment vendors and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
• Support new product launches with manufacturing strategies, production plans and resource requirements.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and customers and stay up to date with industry trends and technologies.

Required profile

• Substantial knowledge of product design, manufacturing processes and production systems, with proven manufacturing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience leading or supporting process improvement initiatives and project management capabilities.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, compliance standards and quality assurance requirements.
• Bilingual Spanish and English preferred for this location.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 8D, Fishbone, 5Why, 6Sigma and Shainin methods, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• CAD/CAM software and manufacturing planning tools.
• Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills, and intercultural competencies.
