Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

Bosch Group is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its Vehicle Motion Steering team in Queretaro, Mexico. You will be responsible for creating innovative mechanical solutions for automotive applications, turning complex requirements into robust, manufacturable designs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop 3D mechanical concepts and detailed part lists for customized machines and equipment used in advanced manufacturing.
• Manage engineering changes in coordination with cross‑functional teams and other departments.
• Maintain product data using PDM systems such as Creo Parametric and Windchill to ensure design integrity and traceability.
• Define tolerance chain specifications and perform GD&T analyses to guarantee precision.
• Conduct on‑site acceptance testing and validation at supplier facilities.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and specifications according to industry standards.
• Identify continuous‑improvement opportunities to reduce cost and enhance performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in machine design, equipment development, or similar mechanical engineering roles.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a structured approach.

Required skills

• 3D CAD mechanical design using Creo Parametric (or similar platforms).
• Proficiency with PLM/PDM tools, specifically Windchill.
• Knowledge of tolerance chain definition and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to perform 2D/3D stack‑up and tolerance calculations.
