Medical Information Specialist I

About the role

The Medical Information Specialist I provides accurate technical and medical information to internal and external stakeholders, handling inquiries about pharmaceutical or device products. The role also manages intake of adverse events and product complaints while ensuring compliance with client and regulatory guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to technical and medical inquiries received via phone, email, internet or mail.
• Process fulfillment requests and supply clinical‑trial information or after‑hours on‑call support.
• Research medical literature, draft concise responses, and record all interactions in designated databases.
• Identify, record, and triage adverse events and product complaints, providing follow‑up as needed.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of client products, SOPs, protocols, GCPs and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external contacts to resolve inquiries and provide administrative support.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with a relevant life‑science qualification; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Strong English proficiency in reading, writing, comprehension and speaking.
• Excellent interpersonal abilities and the capacity to work independently or within a team.
• Organizational and time‑management skills with a professional demeanor in challenging situations.
