Medical Promotional Reviewer – Portuguese Speaker

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Medical Promotional Reviewer who is fluent in Portuguese to support the Research & Development function. The role focuses on ensuring that promotional and advertising materials for eye‑care products are scientifically accurate, compliant with regulations, and safe for patients and the medical community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medical review of promotional and advertising concepts, drafts, and final materials, ensuring alignment with approved labeling and regulatory standards.
• Assess scientific accuracy, clinical information, and biostatistical validity of all reviewed content.
• Stay current with medical literature in ophthalmic therapeutic areas to inform reviews.
• Deliver timely, consistent reviews to minimize approval cycles.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and the Medical department to optimize material effectiveness and mitigate risk.
• Ensure compliance with country‑specific laws and industry guidelines.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in a medical specialty or life sciences (OD, MD preferred; PhD considered with relevant ophthalmic experience).
• Technical/scientific MS degree with extensive knowledge of ophthalmic therapeutics.
• Minimum 2 years of academic or medical‑device industry experience.
• At least 2 years of experience reviewing promotional and advertising materials is preferred.
• Strong understanding of compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks.
