Medical Science Liaison – Oncology/Hematology

About the role

AbbVie is seeking a field‑based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specialized in Oncology and Hematology. The MSL will serve as a scientific bridge between AbbVie’s Medical Affairs team and external experts, ensuring the exchange of accurate, non‑promotional medical information.

Key responsibilities

• Act as subject‑matter expert for the assigned therapeutic area and geographic territory.
• Develop and execute scientific interaction and cycle plans with key opinion leaders.
• Maintain tiered segmentation of external experts and document interactions in AbbVie’s CRM systems.
• Facilitate research collaborations and educational initiatives at academic centers.
• Provide timely, compliant scientific responses to inquiries about AbbVie’s products and disease states.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD) preferred; relevant undergraduate degree with experience also considered.
• Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment and Medical Affairs functions.
• Demonstrated expertise in clinical research methods and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to quickly learn new scientific areas and communicate complex information clearly.
