Medical Science Liaison, Vaccines & Immunology

About the role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Vaccines & Immunology is a field‑based medical professional who engages in non‑promotional, peer‑to‑peer scientific exchange with Scientific Leaders (SLs) and Key Decision Makers (KDMs). The role focuses on delivering balanced, up‑to‑date medical information to support optimal patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct non‑promotional scientific discussions with SLs and KDMs, providing insights on disease prevention, immunization practices, and therapeutic area dynamics.
• Represent the Value & Implementation Global Medical Affairs (V&I GMSA) team at local and regional medical congresses, symposia, and other scientific events.
• Respond to unsolicited requests for medical, scientific, pipeline, and product information from external experts.
• Develop and execute engagement plans for Scientific Leaders in collaboration with the Field Medical & Health Systems Lead.
• Support internal medical affairs by contributing to Country Medical Affairs Plans (cMAP) and identifying potential investigators for sponsored studies.
• Gather and communicate field medical insights, including unmet needs, treatment patterns, and data gaps, to inform local medical strategy and evidence generation.

Required profile

• Medical professional with deep knowledge of vaccines, immunology, and related therapeutic areas.
• Experience in field‑based scientific engagement and ability to build strong relationships with external experts.
• Capability to synthesize and present scientific data clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
