Mobile Engineer (iOS & Android) – Remote (Mexico)

About the role

iHerb is looking for an experienced Mobile Engineer to build and enhance its iOS and Android applications used by millions worldwide. The position is fully remote within Mexico and focuses on delivering high‑quality features while leveraging AI‑assisted development tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship new features for iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) apps.
• Participate in the mobile modernization effort, improving architecture and platform capabilities.
• Write maintainable, well‑tested code and manage the full lifecycle from design to app‑store release.
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product teams to integrate APIs and new experiences.
• Utilize AI tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor daily for code generation, refactoring, and test automation.
• Contribute to shared component libraries and cross‑platform tooling as the mobile platform evolves.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional software development experience (senior level).
• Proven track record shipping apps to the App Store and/or Google Play.
• Hands‑on daily use of AI‑assisted development tools for production code.
• Ability to own features end‑to‑end, from specification through deployment and operations.

Required skills

• Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android) development.
• Familiarity with MVVM or Clean Architecture patterns.
• Cross‑platform experience with React Native or Kotlin Multiplatform (plus).
• .NET, C#, Go, Python, Java, React, MS SQL Server, Azure, AWS.
• CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code review best practices.
