Occupational Health Nurse – 2 Year Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

Airswift is seeking an experienced Nurse to support the International Business area of an oil and gas client in Mexico. The role focuses on occupational health risk management, medical response planning, and employee wellness over a two‑year outsourced contract.

Key responsibilities

• Support the International Business area in anticipating, recognizing, evaluating, and controlling health risks.
• Identify suitable facilities for medical response plans and coordinate treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses with Regional Medical Directors.
• Consult the Company Medical Director for emergency transport and follow site medical response protocols.
• Establish, monitor, and report health performance indicators to achieve defined KPIs.
• Maintain and interact with the Woodsdie (Cority) medical records database.
• Facilitate timely payment of suppliers and service providers related to occupational health.
• Assess, treat, and manage occupational and non‑occupational injury/illness cases according to company procedures.
• Lead testing and screening programs such as audiometric, pulmonary function, ergonomic assessments, alcohol/drug tests, and blood pressure checks.
• Oversee annual health examinations, travel health assessments, and vaccination programs.
• Provide health advice and refer employees to appropriate health professionals.
• Collaborate on employee wellness programs, including immunizations, health training, and fitness initiatives.
• Promote compliance with relevant health, safety, and workers’ compensation legislation.

Required profile

• Valid and registered professional nursing license in Mexico.
• Understanding of Mexican and OSHA injury/illness recording procedures.
• Drug and Alcohol Testing Certification.
• Occupational Hearing Conservation Certification (CAOHC).
• Ergonomic assessment training.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Experience or training in occupational medicine, case management, and injury management.
• Strong commitment to company values and ability to work at all organizational levels.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Experience using occupational health software such as Cority and Chemalert.
• Ability to conduct health screenings and assessments.
• Knowledge of occupational health‑related risk assessment techniques.
