Occupational Health Nurse

About the role

HARMAN Automotive is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse to support employee health and safety through preventive programs, medical examinations, and incident management. The role works closely with the company doctor and contributes to the overall EHSS objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the company doctor in delivering occupational health programs and preventive health initiatives.
• Provide medical care to employees who are ill or have experienced workplace accidents.
• Conduct pre‑employment, transfer, and periodic health examinations, including eye, audiometric, spirometry, high‑pressure, and drug testing.
• Maintain injury records, complete accident reports for Mexican Social Security and the Labor Department, and manage first‑aid kits and medical equipment.
• Control inventory of medicines, medical histories, and follow up on medical disability cases.
• Organize health campaigns (vaccinations, cancer prevention) in partnership with external providers.
• Support ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 compliance, hazardous waste disposal, and health contingency actions such as COVID‑19 response.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the health‑safety commission.
• Familiarity with handling and disposal of biological/infectious hazardous waste.
• Basic English proficiency.
• Strong communication, initiative, problem‑solving, and computer skills.
• Flexible schedule availability.
