Occupational Health Nurse

About the role

The Occupational Health Nurse will support employee health and safety programs at HARMAN Automotive, working closely with the company doctor to deliver preventive care, medical examinations, and emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the company doctor in occupational health programs, including preventive health initiatives.
• Provide medical services to employees who are ill or have suffered workplace accidents.
• Conduct pre‑employment, transfer, and periodic health examinations, including audiometry, spirometry, vision, high‑pressure, and drug testing.
• Maintain records of work‑related injuries and complete required accident reports for Mexican Social Security and the Labor Department.
• Verify cafeteria hygiene, manage first‑aid kits, and control medical inventory.
• Track medical disability cases and coordinate health campaigns such as vaccinations and cancer screenings.
• Support ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 compliance, including hazardous biological waste disposal.
• Participate in health contingency actions, e.g., COVID‑19 response.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and commissions.
• Familiarity with handling and disposal of biological/infectious hazardous waste.
• Basic English proficiency.
