Occupational Nurse – Employee Health & Wellness

About the role

The Occupational Nurse coordinates and delivers employee health and wellness programs within the organization. This role ensures that staff receive timely medical care, health education, and support for medical leaves, while maintaining compliance with occupational health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage employee health and wellness initiatives.
• Provide initial medical care, conduct health screenings, and deliver health education.
• Collaborate with Human Resources to administer and monitor medical leaves of absence.
• Manage workers’ compensation case tracking and case management.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records, including individual health files, OSHA logs, and compensation cases.
• Ensure all health activities comply with relevant occupational safety and health regulations.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on occupational health.
• Experience in workplace health programs and workers’ compensation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for record keeping.
• Ability to work collaboratively with HR and other departments.

Required skills

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience with workers’ compensation case management.
• Proficiency in managing electronic medical records.
