Operations Designer – International Operations Design Team

About the role

Amazon is looking for an experienced Operations Designer to join the International Operations Design Team. Based in Mexico, you will own the delivery of innovative, high‑quality designs for Amazon Fulfillment Centers, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deliver composite designs while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Scale programs and share initiative value across multiple teams.
• Foster collaboration and align stakeholders to achieve precise customer solutions.
• Run efficient, field‑ready designs and processes.
• Ensure designs are reviewed, approved within SLA, and meet regulatory requirements.
• Drive consistency, protect overall quality, and avoid compliance issues.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities through clash detection, flow improvements, and P&D allocations.
• Own end‑to‑end design for assigned projects and support team members.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert for Operations Design processes.
• Collaborate with architectural, mechanical, and technical partners to resolve risks and design flaws.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with strong logistics and design experience.
• High work capacity, agility, detail‑orientation, and data‑driven problem‑solving.
• Deep knowledge of operations processes, design dependencies, and construction/fit‑out execution.
• Understanding of planning, design, and deployment of Amazon Fulfillment Centers.
• Ability to meet customer design needs and improve stakeholder collaboration.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
